The Fueltech SparkPRO is a high energy inductive ignition module, with the latest technology available in spark ignition and spark plug power systems, thus generating better combustion and consequently increased power. Fueltech SparkPRO should be used on vehicles that have an internal ignitionless coil in conjunction with Fueltech programmable injections. What is Fueltech SparkPRO for? An engine’s ignition system is comprised of equipment that controls the ignition point and a module that is responsible for spark energy, but an accurate and detailed ignition point mapping system without a powerful and efficient spark is not enough. So that combustion occurs correctly and with the maximum power possible. SparkPRO is a high energy inductive ignition module with the latest technology available in ignition power systems. It allows high voltage electrical arcing by applying up to 400V to the ignition coil primary, which represents 40,000V on the spark plug (with a 1: 100 coil), allowing for greater electrode openness compared to common ignition systems. (eg carbureted engine ignition modules). This equipment has high current capacity and can work with low impedance coils, allowing sparks with greater energy and duration. SparkPRO is also suitable for electromagnetic interference problems that cause ignition control system failures as it is a very robust system with high efficiency filters. There are options for this equipment to drive one to six coils. Comparisons between the SparkPRO module, an inductive ignition module, and capacitive ignition modules are frequent. One of the advantages of inductive ignition over capacitive is the longer spark duration. Quality capacitive ignitions utilize the multiple spark feature at low revs, where it must be present for up to 20 degrees of the rev period. For example, the MSD 6A fires approximately 7 short sparks at idle to be able to stay 20 degrees in ignition, while a high energy inductive ignition can generate the required 20 degrees of residence with just one spark. Another advantage of inductive ignition is the lower electromagnetic noise generated over the engine’s electrical and electronic system, dramatically reducing interference problems, which often damage sound systems to electronic injection systems. It is important to note that quality capacitive ignitions usually provide sparks with more energy than inductive ignition systems, but this does not necessarily represent a power gain, especially in engines powered by electronic injection systems where the fuel air mixture is very well dosed.
