Hello, This listing is for 1959 1960 Chevy Impala Belair Biscayne Classic Update Series Wiring Harness Kit. Manufactured in the USA by American Auto Wire. This wiring harness kit has everything to wire your car front to rear. Most complete wiring harness kit on the market. Here are some details about the Classic Update Wiring Harness Kit. Replacement headlight switch with internal 30 amp circuit breaker, retention collar nut, adjustable length shaft, and custom knob. Standard turn signal and hazard flashers are mounted on fuse panel. A new horn relay is mounted on the main dash harness. Fuse box designed to fit in original location with mods to the firewall, template included. All required hardware supplied. New ATO fuse panel allows for easy fuse and circuit breaker accessibility. Harness is laid out and formed to allow for nearly all after market accessories such as; gauge packages, wiper systems, heat and air conditioning systems, etc. Original switch connector bodies – an American Autowire exclusive feature. Steering column connectors can plug directly into most aftermarket steering columns or stock 1959-60 GM columns that use stock GM turn signal switches. Separate under dash courtesy lamps for use along with your original dome/interior lighting. Instrument Cluster wiring is designed with a cluster harness disconnect system for easy service and assembly. This is some information about the harness. If your wires are more than 20 years old, odds are that it’s time to replace them. These brand-new wires are labeled and able to withstand up to 275-degree heat. The kit also includes the accompanying late-model electrical switches and connectors. An illustrated installation manual makes wiring your Bronco easy. We have eliminated all of the areas which have been prone to electrical failure in older Broncos. Our new fuse box holds 11 fuses instead of the original five, and it still fits right in the glove box. The kit includes a new Ford headlamp switch, dimmer switch, and heavy-duty ignition and wiper switches. You will re-use your hazard and brake switches. Extra-long wires are provided to allow you to use modified electrical equipment such as an automatic transmission with a floor-mounted shifter containing the neutral safety and back-up lamp switches. The engine section of the harness contains special water-proof connectors which seal each wire against oil, gasoline and other liquids. These wires supply the power to your stock or aftermarket ignition system. A special harness is included to wire the charging system with a late-model external regulator. This harness uses the much improved Ford electrical terminals. Those who take their Broncos off-road will appreciate the extra sealed connectors that are provided to wire the front turn signal, parking and side lamps. The rear harness plugs into a sealed connector located in the engine compartment. It wires the tail/side, back-up, and stop lamps. ULTIMA “COMPLETE” ELECTRONIC WIRING SYSTEM / HARNESS. The sealed main electronic module is 5″ X 2″ and has brackets to mount to any frame tube (approx 2-1/4 high off the tube). Includes diagnostic LED’s – a big help when wiring and troubleshooting – this is the one to get if you have room on your frame to mount. Also note picture of back side of main module – since it is fully “connector-ized”, it can be removed easily without cutting wires. All flasher, relay & circuit interrupters are included in one small package that can be mounted in a wide variety of locations. This module and its plugs are waterproof and LED’s are used to troubleshoot problems. Kit includes all wires, connectors, module & heat shrink tubing. The circuit breaker protection circuits are internal to the box. The diagnostic LEDs are used to locate shorts or overloads. Pinched or bare wires, faulty components or too much current draw usually causes these. If an LED is on, turn off the bike, locate and correct the problem, then turn the bike back on. The bike must be turned off to reset the protection circuit. The unit will provide the starter wire/current to the starter button – and to the starter relay. This unit provides +12V to power the ignition system (pin 6 white w/ black stripe to coil) , but does not include any engine control, management or timing/advance functionality. This unit may or may not function correctly with LED type signal or LED type brake lights, because of their very low current draw. In some cases resistors or load equalizers may help, but Midwest/Ultima cannot guarantee compatibility with all LED type bulbs. Headlight switch to head light dimmer switch, tail lights, dash lights and park lights. Dimmer Switch wires include power from headlight switch and power out to low and high beam headlights. Wiper Switch – Power to wiper switch. Turn Signal Switch – Power into and out of your column mounted turn signal switch. This harness kit includes new terminals for the turn signal switch. You must retain the factory connector. Ignition Switch – Power into and out of to fuse block (ignition, crank and accessory). Brake Switch – Power into and out of. Courtesy Lights – Power and ground circuits for dome light activation. Alternator – Charge wire and alternator field activation wires from. (Most alternators can easily be wired up to this Painless harness). Kit is a high output alternator wire that allows you to use up to a 140 Amp alternator. Horn – 20 Amp horn relay mounted to. Radio – Harness includes constant. (for preset memory) and. Hot circuits for any aftermarket or factory radio. Starter – Crank signal wire for starter. Fan Relay Activation Power.
